For visual interest, this wooden cremation urn includes dark wenge wood accents on the corners.

Wood has been chosen for cremation urns for centuries due to its natural style and suitability for holding ashes. The lighter maple contrasts with the darker walnut inset. The craftsmen's work leaves a smooth finish to touch.
 
To access the inner compartment of the Radius Curly Maple Urn for Ashes, the funeral director or whomever is assisting you can open the bottom panel. The bottom panel is secured with screws on the corners. Included with this urn are felt pads that can be placed over the screws (once urn is filled) for cushioned placement on a table or shelf.
